On December 31, 2025, JOSEPH XERRI, (known as il-Bukkett), foun­der and former managing director of Xerri l-Bukkett Complex of Qala, passed away peacefully, comforted by rites of Holy Church.

He leaves to mourn his loss his wife of Margaret, née Buttigieg, after 59 years marriage, his children Chev. Dr Raymond, former Maltese diplomat and president of European Throughout the World (E.T.T.W.) in Brussels and his wife Marlene, Joseph and his wife Irina, Kevin and his wife Nancy, both directors of Xerri l-Bukkett Complex in Qala, Pamela and her partner Kenneth, and all their families, his helper Jely, other relatives and friends in many countries across the world.

The funeral to celebrate his life will be held on Monday, January 5, leaving the Gozo General Hospital at 3.30pm with a corteo to the Qala parish church of the Immaculate Conception and St Joseph, followed by interment in the family grave at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery of Qala.

May the Lord grant him eternal rest.
