ANTHONY “TONY” GERALD CAMILLERI, born in Malta in 1944, passed away peacefully after a long illness on March 24, 2026, in Trenton, Ontario.

Tony emigrated to Canada from Malta in April 1964, where he built a life defined by dedication, skill and a deep love for his family. He went on to have a successful career as an IT manager, known for his brilliant knack for electronics and mechanics.

On October 21, 1967, Tony married the love of his life, Geraldine Margaret Camilleri (née Agius). Together they shared a lifetime of love and commitment. He was a proud and devoted father to Adrienne Marie and a cherished father-in-law to Darrin Spencer. 

Tony was a beloved brother to Joan Gruchy (née Camilleri) and was predeceased by his siblings Anna Galea (née Camilleri) and Joseph Noel Camilleri. He was a caring uncle to Jennifer (Ron), Christopher (Andrea), Jeffrey, Lauren, Jason (Tania), Michael (Cathy), Sarah (Andrew), and Ruth, and a proud grand-uncle to Madison, Kaleigh, Brooke, Kandace and soon-to-arrive great-nieces.

He will also be fondly remembered by many cousins in Malta and throughout Europe. 

The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday, April 28 for the parish church of Jesus of Nazareth, Sliema, where mass praesente cadavere will be held at 10am.

Interment will take place at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery, where Tony will be laid to rest alongside his mother, Mary Camilleri (née Agius), and his siblings in the family chapel.

He will be remembered as a generous and giving man, always ready to offer advice and lend a helping hand. His steady presence, kind spirit and love for those around him will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Lord, grant him eternal rest.
